Peo...Emo Bears, there is so much of that going on. People are selfish and put what they want ahead of what a dog actually needs. It seems to be the accepted thing for people to get a dog and subject it to such a lonely, miserable life now. :o( It's one of my 'pet' hates.Gladyshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00732810607021773682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1631620364036578766.post-25979370335297782242009-10-25T21:52:42.313+00:002009-10-25T21:52:42.313+00:00Don't get me started on my work colleague - sh...Don't get me started on my work colleague - she drives me insane.

She is a bit 'lah-di-dah' and thinks she is better than everyone else. She lives in an exclusive local area, which she refers to as 'the village'.

Yes, She may live there but she is the only woman in the 'village' that actually works (because they aren't actually as rich as all the other snobs that live there).

Her kids nagged her for a dog.

And her kids don't go without (she's buying her 7 year old an ipod touch for xmas - a 7 year old!!!)

So herself and her partner went to a breeder in wales and got a Cock-a-poo puppy (cos of course it had to be a 'designer' dog)

To be fair to her, she only works part time and her partner can work from home sometimes.

Problem is, she really doesn't like the dog. Not one bit, it makes her cream carpets dirty etc.

After a weekend she got a dog behaviourist in as it was jumping up and mouthing at the the children --

HELLO??? You bought a
puppy -
you got a Puppy!!!!

The children are crying that they want to keep the dog, so they are sticking with it.

In the day the dog is left in a garage. It is not allowed in the house other than the kitchen and it's bed under the stairs.

The other day she was complaining that she let the dog in the garden and it got muddy paws from digging. What did she do to the poor puppy?

Tied her up on a leash outside and left her in the rain, so she wouldn't muddy the carpet; for a few HOURS!! She was then moaning that the dog was 'looking at her' whilst she was in the kitchen.

When she finally let poor dog in after hours in the rain, the dog was so distressed that when she left her, she did a trail of poo throughout the house.

She was then shouted at and shut in the garage.

When it came to that night, she deliberatly didn't let the dog have a wee because she would be muddy again and left the poor baby shaking under the stairs all night.

She still hates the dog; but as she got it for the children, so long as the kids don't get bored, the dog will stay.

It makes me furious that I have wanted a dog all my life but not been able to have one (due to full time working in my house) and Idiots like that can go buy a designer puppy to look good on a leash when they go out, around 'The Village'.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Hopefully when I get a house I can consider one; I work alternative weeks (one early, one late)and my fiancee works school hours - His nan dog sits for someone else currently, so hopefully we can work it out :-) I really want a Shiba Inu. :-)Emo Bearshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05355146613675406838noreply@blogger.com
